=The Chancel Choir Sings in worship through the school year. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings - 7:00-8:30 pm in the music room. Youth and adults are welcome to join our Sanctuary Choir.
=The Children's Choirs THE REHEARSALS for the Children's Choirs (K-6th grade) take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm. The rehearsals have been reformatted to include a story time, a craft time, a snack time, and learning our music. Parent helpers will be welcomed, however, we also have two different Bible studies you can choose to participate in on Wednesday evenings.
THE CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS MUSICAL "The Tiniest Christmas Star" will be presented on Sunday, November 30 at 7:00 pm. Come this Sunday evening and celebrate the beginning of the Advent season, with the children! All stars have been called together. The official word has come from Heavenly Headquarters: Jesus will soon be born in Bethlehem and a special star is needed to help light the way for shepherds, wise men, and all others who would come to worship the newborn King. Stanley wants the job...but his fellow shiners think he is one size too small. They are all about to learn that God can accomplish big things through all kinds of people and events!
BELLS and CHIMES =Accelerando Chimes This group is for those in grades 3 through 8. We rehearse from 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm (directly after the 11:00 am Sunday worship hour.)
=Ritardando Bells
This group is for any adults who can rehearse on Wednesday mornings from 11:00 am to noon. We try to ring once a month in service. (We also enjoy eating lunch together after rehearsal when we can.)
MOVING MOUNTAINS BAND This band plays each Sunday in Fellowship Hall at the 11:00 am THIRST Praise and Worship. Rehearsals are led by Stephen Hargis. The band currently rehearses on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 3:00 pm in Fellowship Hall.
Special Ensembles Occasionally we put together a brass ensemble, or have need of an instrument incorporated into a choral anthem. If you would be willing to participate in an endeavor such as this, please let us know what instrument you play! Email me at music@cumc-indy.net
Other Needs Within any music organization there are many needs that do not necessarily involve musical talent. If you have special talents such as sewing (costumes), carpentry (sets or making cross necklaces for our children's choirs), organizational and computer skills (inputting anthem data into the computer), putting together power point programs, helping with sound booth and lighting needs...just to name a few...let us know and we will put your skills to good use in God's service.
